We were delighted to celebrate our success at the Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards 2020/21 at a special gathering of winners and sponsors last week. Having proudly received the Gold Award for Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year at the virtual awards earlier this year, it was a wonderful opportunity to meet friends and partners from across the tourism and hospitality sector - in real life (IRL)!
From fellow Bath-based winners Savouring Bath and our category sponsors Quality in Tourism to leading Destination Management Organisation Visit Somerset and the team behind Visit Bath City, the gathering brought together leading visitor economy organisations to shine a light on the innovation and excellence being delivered across the region.
Kindly hosted by family-owned Noah's Ark Zoo Farm - located just six miles south of Bristol and a 40-min drive from The Apartment, Bath - and supported by award-winning Somerset-based drinks firm Hullabaloos and local family-run juice business Bradleys Juice - the gathering was the first in-person event run by the awards team for nearly 18 months. The event welcomed a number of key sponsors and supporters including Bristol Airport and Vickery Holman.
Describing the participating businesses as "brave and brilliant", organiser Nell Barrington was visibly delighted at bringing award winners and sponsors together (finally!) at an event not even torrential rain or fuel shortages could keep participants away from. “We really wanted to be able to congratulate the businesses in person after such an awful 18 months and when Noah’s Ark offered to host us we jumped at the chance."

The Apartment, Bath was honoured to win the Gold Award for Self-Catering Accommodation at the Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards 2020/21. The Bath-based luxury holiday home also won Gold in the category for New Tourism Business at the same Awards the previous year, in 2019/20.
