With so much on offer in Bath, we've rounded up some of the great live sport coming up across the city, with handy links to fixtures, results and ticket info. From scrums and screamers to bouts and boundaries, don't miss the goals, the tries, the runs and the races in breathless Bath.

Bath Rugby

Following Bath Rugby's Season Launch on Friday 18 August 2023 (1.45-5pm), the Club's first home fixtures of the season are Premiership Rugby Cup games against Championship contenders Jersey Reds on Saturday 16 September 2023 (1.00pm), London Scottish on Saturday 23 September 2023 (2.00pm) and Exeter Chiefs over the weekend 6-8 October 2023. The Gallagher Premiership then gets underway welcoming to The Recreation Ground Newcastle Falcons on 14 October 2023 (3.00pm) and Leicester Tigers on 28 October 2023 (3.05pm). And hot off the heels of a league-winning season as Champions of Championship South 1, Bath Rugby Ladies will look to continue their run of form this season, with home fixtures kicking off in September with matches against Newbury (17 September 2023), Thurrock (8 October 2023) and London Irish (29 October 2023) with a full schedule in store for the 2nd XV and 3rd XV too. Bath City FC

Kick off your own tradition with a visit to Twerton Park, sponsored by Bath Spa University, home to Bath City FC. The city's community-owned semi-professional football club gets its Vanarama National League South 2023/24 home campaign underway on Saturday 12 August 2023 with a visit from Maidstone United, who have just ended a 25-match losing streak spanning nine-months, closely followed by The Seagulls - local rivals Weston-super-Mare - on Tuesday 15 August 2023. Upcoming fixtures against Hampton & Richmond Borough (Saturday 26 Aug), Havant & Waterlooville (Sat 2 September) and Dover Athletic (Sat 23 September) follow, with possible FA Cup Qualification games also taking place during September.


Fixtures for Bath City FC Women are due out soon and, as a brand new team finishing second in Division 1 of the Somerset County Women’s league, they're looking ahead to an exciting 2023/24 season in the South West Regional Women’s Football League. Weekend and midweek games from The Romans' Men's Team, Women's Team and u18s Team take place throughout the season, the club's family atmosphere welcomes everyone, with average match attendances exceeding 1,000 spectators. Bath Cricket

Catch the tail-end of the 2023 season with a quartet of exciting home fixtures at North Parade. Saturday 12 August (12.30pm) sees the 2nd XI welcome Bedminster before the 1st XI welcome local rivals Lansdown on Saturday 19 August (12.30pm). The curtain comes down on the 2nd XI's season with a final home fixture on Saturday 26 August (12.30pm) v Bristol 2nd XI before the final 1st XI home fixture of the season on Saturday 2 September (12.30pm) v Taunton Deane. Bath Racecourse

Host to over 20 race meetings a year, the season continues with a special Cider Racenight (featuring The Wurzels live after the racing) on Saturday 19 August (first of six races 5.35pm) afternoon racing on Wednesday 23 August (first of six races at 2.50pm), Thursday 31 August (first of six races 2.30pm) followed by three September meetings (all with seven races the first of which starts at 1.40pm) on Wednesday 6 September, Wednesday 13 September and Gentlemen's Day on Saturday 16 September. TeamBath Netball

As regular suppliers of players to national teams - including the England World Cup 2023 Finalists squad - Team Bath Netball welcomed over 12,000 supporters to their home arena at University of Bath for Super League games last season. A great family atmosphere awaits with the TeamBath Netball Super League fixtures due to be announced shortly.



UIPM Pentathlon World Championships 2023

19-28 August 2023

The UIPM Modern Pentathlon and Laser Run World Championships 2023 takes place this August in Bath, home not only to Pentathlon GB’s world-leading National Training Centre at University of Bath, but also to current Olympic champion and reigning world champion Joe Choong MBE. Choong will be joined by other leading all-round athletes from across the globe compete in swimming, fencing, horse riding and laser run disciplines at the University of Bath, home to. A qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the first world championships to visit the UK since 2009 will be contested in the sport's new 90-minute format, with spectators watching fencing, horse-riding and laser run live within an outdoor arena, whilst swimming will be screened live.
